Peter Grimm Canada

The idea for the Peter Grimm hat line came to Peter Neidermeyer in 1989, on a sunny California beach - how to keep the sun off he and his sunburned friends. Peter, being very entrepreneurial headed south to Mexico and returned with a carload of wide brimmed straw hats that he gave to his friends and sold to local beach shops. The wide brimmed “lifeguard” hat was a success and has become a staple for lifeguards. Peter's motto was to take a hat and add his own spin to it and 17 years later this premise still drives the design team at Peter Grimm. Today the Peter Grimm label is sold internationally and can be seen on celebrities such as Bono of U2 and Eva Longoria.
